The aim of this exercise is to keep your entire body
weight over a designated point, a perceived “X,” by
leaning on the foot that stands on the designated
center point.
1. Start with your left (lead) foot on the perceived “X.” Bring
your feet parallel by stepping the rear foot forward, and lean
your weight over the left foot.
2. Keeping your weight over the “X,” shuffle your feet to
switch out the left foot with your right foot. Lean to the right
to shift your weight over your right foot.
3. Shuffle your feet to place the left foot onto the perceived
“X,” simultaneously leaning to the left and shifting your
weight over your left foot.
Repeat this side-to-side movement along the frontal plane,
alternating the left and right foot on the “X” while shifting
your weight over each respective foot, for 1 minute.
