Front axle-steering linkage
3. Removing tie rod
(a) Separate tie rod from left steering
trapezium arm.
• Pull out split pin, and loosen
hexagon slotted nut.
Notice:
Do not reuse removed split pin.
• Using hammer and copper bar,
knock on tie rod left end
assembly axially to take it off
from under left steering
trapezium arm.
(b) Separate tie rod from right steering
trapezium arm.
Tip:
Follow the same steps for separating tie rod
from left steering trapezium arm to separate tie
rod from right steering trapezium arm.
4. Removing left steering trapezium arm
(a) Separate tie rod from left steering
trapezium arm.
• Pull out split pin, and loosen

hexagon slotted nut.
Notice:
Do not reuse removed split pin.
• Using hammer and copper bar,
knock on tie rod left end
assembly axially to take it off
from under left steering
trapezium arm.
(b) Separate left steering trapezium arm from
left steering knuckle.
1051 series and 1061 series models:
• Pull out the 2 split pins, and
loosen the 2 hexagon slotted nuts.
Notice:
Do not reuse removed split pin.
• Using hammer and copper bar,
knock on left steering trapezium
arm to take it off from inside of
left steering knuckle.
1089 series models:
• Loosen the nut.
Notice:
Do not reuse removed nuts.
• Using hammer and copper bar,
knock on steering trapezium arm
axially to take it off from behind
left steering knuckle.
