Rear axle- rear wheel brake

Rear brake chamber

Replacement

1. Disconnect the connected air pipe
from the left rear brake chamber
Central drum brake:
• Loosen the air pipe terminal nuts of
left rear brake chamber and separate
the air pipes.

Air-cut off brake:
• Loosen the 2 air pipe terminal nuts
of left rear brake chamber and
separate the air pipes.

2. Remove the left rear brake chamber
(a). Central drum brake:
Remove the push rod clevis cotter pin of
left rear brake chamber and remove the
26 pin axle.

Air-cut off brake:
Remove the push rod clevis cotter pin of
left rear brake chamber and remove the
pin axle.
Hint:
The steps for the removal of the left rear brake
chamber push rod clevis cotter pin of air-cut off
brake are the same with those for the left rear
brake chamber push rod clevis cotter pin of

central drum brake, but the positions are a little
different.
