Rear axle- rear wheel brake

Quick release valve

Replacement

1. Disconnect the connected air pipes
from the quick release valve
(a). Loosen the adapter nuts of quick release
valve air pipes.
HINT:
Place matchmarks on each pipe before
disconnecting them for the convenient
identification during the installation.

2. Remove the quick release valve
assembly
(a). Loosen the 2 fixing bolts of the quick
release valve.
(b). Remove the quick release valve
assembly.

3. Install the quick release valve
assembly
(a). Install the quick release valve and screw
down the 2 fixing bolts.
Torque: 41 ～ 51 N•m

4. Connect the air pipes to the quick
release valve
(a). Connect the connectors of relay valve air
pipes according to the matchmarks and
screw down the terminal nuts of the air
pipes.
Torque: 25 ～ 30 N•m

5. Brake system seal tightness test (refer to “chapter 26 service brake-brake system,
on-vehicle inspection”)
6. Brake system airinflation performance test (refer to “chapter 26 service brake-brake
system, on-vehicle inspection”)
