Rear axle- rear wheel brake

Main air reservoir

Replacement

1. Disconnect the air pipes from the main
air reservoir
Hint:
Place matchmarks on each pipe before
disconnecting them for the convenient
identification during the installation.

2. Remove the main air reservoir
assembly
(a). Loosen the 4 fixing bolts from the main
air reservoir support
(b). Remove the main air reservoir assembly.
Hint:
When removing the main air reservoir, operate
with appropriate tools or with the help of others
if necessary.

3. Install the main air reservoir assembly
(a). Install the main air reservoir and screw
down the 4 fixing bolts of it.
Torque: 41 ～ 51 N•m
Hint:
When installing the main air reservoir, operate
26 with appropriate tools or with the help of others
if necessary.

4. Connect the air outlet pipes to the
main air reservoir
(a). Connect the air pipes to the main air
reservoir according to the matchmarks
and screw down the terminal nuts of the
air pipes.
Torque: 32 ～ 42 N•m

5. Brake system seal tightness test (refer to “chapter 26 service brake-brake system,
on-vehicle inspection”)
6. Brake system air inflation performance test (refer to “chapter 26 service brake-brake
system, on-vehicle inspection”)
