talk when you want to emphasize a point or
contemplate a question.
4. Nerves - when you are nervous your mouth gets
dry and the speed of your speech naturally
increases. Slow down or have a sip of water as
this will take the nerves away and naturally
slow down your speech.
5. Accent - if you have a thick international
regional accent it's always better to accentuate
every syllable of your speech as this will
naturally slow you down and improve listeners’
understanding.
6. Pitch - the pitch of your voice is very important.
It should be lower than your normal speech not
down to the very lowest base level but just
below your normal speed pattern.
7. What happens when you lower your voice is
that you become more in control of your
breathing, the oxygen fills up your diaphragm,
and when you lower your voice you can actually
forcibly push the air out which controls and
slows down your speech.
