Nevertheless, it appears to me that if one doesn’t have [any other] utensils and

bed and cover the table in the succah and not in his house, in order to
demonstrate that [his house] is not his home. 19
]3[ One may not sleep outside of the succah, even if it is a short nap, because
there is no such thing as transitory sleep, as sometimes [a short nap] is sufficient

for a person and this [serves as] proper sleep. One is however permitted to eat a

snack outside of the succah, even a k’beitza of bread, and one may also drink

water, or wine if he doesn’t drink it in a more established manner. [One may
also] eat fruits, even as a set meal because this is not considered established

enough [to prohibit it]. This is all according to the basic halacha. However, one
who is stringent to avoid even drinking water outside of the succah is

praiseworthy. If he eats a cooked dish made of one of the five grains as a meal,
