                               GOVERNMENT JOBS CANNOT GO ROUND

You have probably at one time dreamt of a corporate job; a white-collar job that makes

you dress up nicely every morning to go to the office and at the end of the month, a fat

salary lands in your bank account. One of the best places you can fulfil that dream is in
government agencies or offices. The salary is good, there is job security and a

well-structured career advancement, but there are limited spaces. It cannot go round.
The civil service job gives you a flexible 40Hours a week schedule, free weekends, and

you are hardly under stringent conditions like meeting sales target. Unfortunately, not
everyone will get that kind of job, everyone cannot have that opportunity. We cannot all

get 'White-collar' jobs. For many reasons, it is not just possible for everyone to be on the

government payroll. That is the truth.

In elementary Economics, we were told about inflation – too much money chasing few
goods. This is the best explanation for white-collar jobs. It is too competitive because

many people want it. This is one explanation for the rise in unemployment figures. It is
worse in developing nations, and no matter how governments try to create jobs, as long

as population rises steadily, and colleges churn out graduates yearly, there will always be

a huge unemployment gap. The earlier a job seeker knows this, the better.

White-collar jobs are grossly inadequate for the volume of prospective job seekers. The

competition has assumed a survival of the fittest status, it becomes stiffer every day.
Everyone wants to get in, anyhow. Consequently, Job seekers become desperate and

vulnerable, ready, and willing to do anything possible to get an offer. The desperation
makes them gullible and prone to various ravening wolves; notorious tricksters and

nefarious job racketeers, who also in a bid to survive, deceive and collect money from
unsuspecting job seekers. This is worrisome, and you may not suspect you have been

duped until the job you paid for never come. Knowing that white-collar jobs may not go
round, you should think of alternatives, relax your desperation, and save yourself from

falling prey to these callous tricksters.
