the organization and read. If you are able to lay your hands on information about their

               revenues, the performance of its major products in the market, staff strength etc., please,
               get to know these things very well. It is not bad if you get to speak to a friend, a senior

               employee  or  one  or  two  persons  who  know  much  about  the  company.  The  more
               information you have, the better for you.

                In addition, research you job roles or read it all over again from the job brochure. Get

               familiar with the competencies, skills and other requirements expected of your role in

               the organization if employed. You cannot escape questions from this area. Please learn
               all you need to know.


                Some organizations prefer to conduct a brief weeding test before an oral interview, or
               what they call an interview may include a written test. Interviews for some medical jobs

               like the medical laboratory scientists often involve a third session call ‘Spotting.’ You are
               expected to examine an equipment or a part of an equipment, state its name, uses and/or

               maintenance.  It  varies.  Find  out  about  the  nature  of  the  interview  and  prepare
               accordingly. You cannot over prepare; it is safe to know all you need to know than resolve

               to guess-work when they ask you.

                Ensure you have a good sleep a night before your interview. Select the cloth you want to

               wear, get the address of the venue right and decide on your route. If possible, visit the
               place a day before the interview to be familiar with the road. Be in your best mood. Try to

               put all your worries aside for that moment and concentrate on your interview. You may
               pick up whatever worries you have later. Go there with confidence and a valid means of

               identification. Put all your documents and certificates including the call letter for the

               interview in a folder. They may ask you to provide proof of invitation or identification
               before allowing you in. Do not be caught unawares.
