would get so full of food which we could not use! He has also given us a way
of getting rid of harmful food that is rotten; we either spit it out as we taste
something wrong or we are sick! This is Father’s care.
6. Complete the worksheet. Less able children could cut out pictures of food
from magazines and create a picture with them. More able children may also
like to find a food beginning with every letter of the alphabet.
7. Review the lesson and ask whether God provides us with anything else.
What happens if we do not ask?
God provides some things to all people (sunshine, crops) but other things he
gives only to those who ask (forgiveness, help in difficulty). He wants
children to know him as Provider.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children will understand that God provides us with all of our food for our
work so we do not need to worry.
2. They will appreciate the range of foods, which people can eat, and the
numerous ways in which people prepare food, showing creativity and
providing another distinction between them and other living things.
3. They should value God’s care and wisdom in designing our bodies to safely
remove anything which we eat that cannot be digested or is harmful.
