Page 8 - MOVING THROUGH AIR
P. 8
The body allows physical activities. The soul includes the mind and the heart
which allow thinking and feelings. The spirit is the part which allows people to
know God.
Way to Work (Means)
1. Review the previous lesson.
2. Dramatise the creation of man and woman, noting any differences between
their creation and the creation of other living things. God talked with Adam and
formed a relationship with him – Genesis 1:26-30; 2:7-8, 15-24.
3. Stress the fact that it does not matter what the colour is of our skin or where
we live as to whether God puts his spirit within us.
4. Create lists noting what we, as humans, can do with our bodies, minds and
spirits.
Compare these to animals and plants.
5. Talk about why not everyone knows God and worships him. We should honour
and respect people, whether or not they follow Jesus.
6. Let the children draw or paint pictures of themselves using their bodies for
different actions and / or complete the worksheet.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children will understand and value the special relationship that Father God
wants them to have with him.
2. Although every person is made to know and love God, not every one does. We
should honour and respect everyone nonetheless.
