ISSUE 14 | APRIL 2023
Dear Parents,
I hope you are all well and enjoying having your children back at home for the Easter break. As I write this, we have 40 children out in Austria having a wonderful Skiing trip, the sun is shining, Spring is finally in the air and we are already looking forward to the Summer term – after we have all enjoyed a good Easter break!
The Spring term was as busy as ever and there is much to look back on and celebrate as we also look forward to the coming term. The Summer term is always my favourite and, as it will be my last one at Abberley Hall, I am keen to make sure that it will be as magical memorable as ever.
News in early February that Malvern College will be ‘stepping away’ from Abberley and that we would need to take the school forward without their financial and ‘back office’ support was a shock but it has been remarkable to see how much support and loyalty for the school there has been. A very active Parent Group have, as you know, achieved a huge amount in a short space of time. We will keep you posted as the picture comes into focus over the next couple of weeks.
Naturally, we understand that this is a challenging time for everyone in our school community and should you have any questions then please do get in touch. I will be away over Easter but will be checking my emails so do get in touch if need be on jonnie.besley@abberleyhall.co.uk
Our school calendar for the Summer term is now available to view on our website by clicking here. As you will see, we have an action-packed term to come. Whilst this is a daunting and unsettling time for us all, I would urge you to join with me in looking back with pride on all that we achieved last term and looking forward with excitement to the fantastic term ahead of us and the incredible opportunities that we have lined up for our pupils.
