Together, we prepare people for work.

               TOBACCO-FREE WORKPLACE

Goodwill-Easter Seals complies with the Minnesota Freedom to Breathe Act and has a tobacco-free
workplace policy at all locations. Smoking and tobacco use, including e-cigarettes, is permitted in
designated outdoor areas only. There is no smoking or tobacco use allowed in any GESMN facility or
vehicle, including all offices, stores, restrooms, lounges, and other spaces that GESMN owns, leases, or
               occupies to perform GESMN work.

               DRUG AND ALCOHOL-FREE WORKPLACE

To ensure the safety and well-being of everyone, Goodwill-Easter Seals is firmly committed to ensuring a
safe, healthy, productive, and efficient work environment for employees, participants, volunteers,
customers, and the public. GESMN also has a vital interest in preventing accidents and injuries resulting
from alcohol or drug misuse. The unlawful or improper presence or use of drugs or alcohol in the
workplace presents a danger to everyone. GESMN’s policy is to maintain a workplace free of illegal drugs
               and alcohol.

PROHIBITED CONDUCT CONCERNING ALCOHOL AND DRUGS

The following conduct by employees, including managers, is not permitted:

                   • Reporting for work or remaining on duty after the employee has consumed alcohol in any
amount that adversely affects the employee’s job performance.
                   • Consuming alcohol at any time during the employee’s workday. This includes while an

employee is on or off GESMN premises, as well as during the employee’s meal and break
                          periods.
                   • The only exception is the authorized and reasonable consumption of alcohol by an
employee of legal drinking age at functions sponsored by GESMN.
                   • Engaging in any illegal or unauthorized use of drugs at any time while on or off-duty. This
includes while an employee is on or off the premises of GESMN and during the employee’s
                          meal and break periods.
                   • Engaging in the unlawful or unauthorized manufacture, distribution, dispensation,
solicitation, sale, purchase, transfer, or possession of drugs or alcohol while on paid time, on
GESMN premises, in GESMN vehicles, or while otherwise engaged in activities for or on
behalf of GESMN. An employee’s illegal conduct involving drugs or alcohol during non-work
times may also result in discipline up to and including termination.
Engaging in any of the above-prohibited conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including
