Fred Fiege have represented the school at football while Clem Sturgess and
       Fred Fiege play interschool cricket.
We are also well represented in the school cadets corps. Nine of our class
spend every Thursday afternoon learning to defend the other 35.
Our thanks to all the teachers who have helped us during the year and
we look forward to training a few more next year.

       FORM 3C1 - -
                            For results that are best
                               In every test
                             It’s 3C1 (Three C One)
                               Where the work is done.
Our class is well represented in the every-day house sports. Hedy van der
Giessen, the form captain and Queensland’s champion runner for 1960, is again
running as though with wings on her feet, after an injury to one of her legs.
Delmae Edwards is the junior tennis champion of 1961. Janis Robertson, Jean
Heron and Hedy are representing our school in the G.P.S. Sports on Saturday,
       5th August.
We also have a dancer in our midst. Anne McTaggatt, the vice form captain.
won a scholarship and a trip to Sydney at Christmas for ballet dancing.
We are a form that excels in sports, but hardly in school-work.
The climate is usually very welcoming, although the density of the atmosphere
increased during Maths. A, Geography and History.
We prefer recesses and loathe between recesses.
Glenys Macintosh gained the highest marks in 1st term examination,
followed closely by Marion Sowden who topped the bookkeeping marks with
100%. Shirley Fordum gained 100% for typing, but we have yet to see the
       2nd term’s results.
And for those sitting for a public examination at the end of the year, 3C1
wishes you all — Good Luck !

A poor life this, if full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
For 3C2 is kept to the boards,
                        Determinedly by Masters and Lords.
Miss Soden for English, teaches us with ease,
History is ably taught by Mr. Lees.
                        Bookkeeping for this age,
Is willingly explained by Mrs. Taege.
For Typing and Shorthand, we have a key,
                        Supplied by keen Miss Cafferky.
Maths A and B we all agree,
Are diligently classed by Taylor and Rhode.
Here’s to our Form Master, tricycle in hand,
There’s no doubt about it, he beats the band.

3C2 is well represented in the sports field. We are very proud of Barry
Nichols who in the past inter-house sports, broke two records in broad-jumping
and hundred yards sprint. Four of our girls were also representatives at the
