SOCCER
A GRADE
(Solid Efforts)

This year the Open Soccer Team consisted of: N. Weathered, J.
Moodie,
G. Maleevsky, D. Gordon. T. Dunne, N. James, M. Carter, J.
Robinson,
J. Thierry, R. Webster, J. Roe and K. Balwell. The team did not
manage to
therefore gain a place in the final four, .but nevertheless played as a team and
produced solid efforts, which resulted in defeating a couple of the teams that
did gain a place in the semi-finals. As a result of the frequent wet Wednesdays,
matches which could have possibly led to the gaining of more points were called
off, and hence the expected number of games was not played.
The members of the team would like to thank Mr. Finn and Mr. Steele
for the time they gave up to attend training sessions. Individual team members
produced good efforts. In particular, Neville Weathered played well in defence
as goalkeeper, while Michael Carter and Neville James were dangerous in attack.
Overall, the team made combined efforts and enjoyed the season.
