Our team went into the competition with tons of confidence and a mixed
quantity of experience. These boys gained some valuable experience during the
season, and some of them will help to make the “A” Team very strong next
season.

CRICKET
A GRADE
(Running First at Present)

The first round of the “A” Grade cricket fixtures ended with
Wynnum,
who played five matches, winning two outright, drawing two, and
losing one on
the first innings. As a result, we are placed first in the competition with 46.21
points.
This position is due, in the main, to some fine bowling by N. James,
M. Turner and M. Thew. with reasonable support from the team’s batsmen.
Our fielding let us down on several occasions and will have to be improved
if we are to go on and take out the zone premiership.
