All circular relays reached the finals, and the Junior Ball games excelled
by gaining a place in Square Spry, Tunnel and Zig. and File Gap. M. Hookway
represented Wynnum in the shot put and has the honour of being the first
Wynnum representative in field events at G.P.S.
They set a fine example of training and precision. Their enthusiasm was
matched equally by Mrs. Albin. So to her. Miss Marshall, Mrs. Sibley, Mrs. Gray
and Miss Nixon we express our thanks. Also, the reserves, who were there “in
case”, deserve a special mention.
Overall, this carnival was a most exciting event in the school year, and the
competitors and spectators alike showed a school spirit which was a credit to
Wynnum High.
