Rules & Regulations for the
State Scout and Guide Fellowship
1. State SGF:
i. Individual State Registration under Registration of Societies Act XXI of
1860 is hereby not permitted as the Indian Scout & Guide Fellowship is
already a registered body.
ii. The State SGF shall be affiliated to the Ind. SGF within a period of 2
months from the date of its registration and on such affiliation, the Ind.
SGF shall issue a charter and by virtue of such Charter only the State
SGF shall function as such. For the purposes of this rule, a State will
correspond to the State as envisaged by the Bharat Scouts and Guides
(or the State or union Territory as understood In the Constitution of
India)
Provided, the National Council of Ind. SGF may directly register and
administer District SGF or Guild SGF in any area or areas where no State
SGF exists. The State SGF shall necessarily be formed on its having
minimum 5 Districts SGF in the State or 75 direct members or both to
begin with. The Indian SGF should facilitate/initiate the formation of
such a State SGF and the State SGF shall normally be located in the
Capital of that State (as per Geographical set up).
State SGF shall necessarily be formed on its having minimum 5(Five)
District Guilds in the State & after formation of state SGF – growth
should be visible after 3 years by adding new Districts / Guilds SGF’s
iii. The State SGF shall confirm and adhere to the constitution, Rules and
Regulations of the Ind. SGF and achieve Its objectives.
iv. Every zonal Railways will be one State SGF’s
v. State SGFs have 5(five) or more District SGF and 3(three) or more Guilds
will be considered to be “Full Member” (Growth should be shown
within 3 years of formation & should reach every district as progress)
vi. while those having less than the above, District or Guild SGFs will be
considered as “Associate Member”
