ii. Each delegate member of the state SGF Assembly shall have the
right to exercise a single non-transferable vote.
iii. Only a bona fide member (whose subscription is paid in case of
direct members or through the District/Guild SGF by 31st March,
prior to the year of election) shall be eligible to contest and vote for
the election.
iv. A candidate who gets simple majority shall be declared elected by
the Returning Officer.
v. If two or more candidates get the same number of votes, then the
candidate will be elected by the Returning Officer by a draw of lot.
C. In the event of election by secret ballot, the following procedure
shall be followed:
vi) Nomination paper containing the name of the candidate, proposed
for the post shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to
the Returning Officer with the words “Election" written at the top of
the envelop, to be sent by any mode of post with acknowledgement
due within stipulated time or may be delivered personally prior to
the election as per the decision of the State SGF Council.
vii) Sealed cover envelops shall be opened In the presence of the
candidates or their representative on the date and place fixed by
the Returning Officer in the schedule of election. The candidates or
their representatives shall have the option to be present at the time
of opening the sealed cover containing nomination papers.
viii) Counting will be done as per schedule and the result will be
declared by the Retuning officer after the elections are over but on
the same day.
10. Powers of the State SGF General Assembly
a) To elect President and members of the State SGF Council once every
three years in a special State SGF General Assembly.
b) To amend, alter or add any clause in the rules & regulations of the
State SGF.
c) To dispose of properties like Land or Building, etc.
