12. Power of the Governing Body
1) To recommend to the SGF council programmes and other activities
to be conducted during the year
2) To prepare the budget for the year for being presented to the
Council.
3) The Governing Body shall perform all acts necessary for the day to
day working of the Fellowship(which are not in these rules expressly
directed to be done by the State council or the State Assembly) but
subject nevertheless to such regulations and or directions as may,
from time to time, be determined upon or given by the State
Council provided that no such regulations or directions shall
invalidate any proper act of the Governing Body which would have
been valid if the regulation or direction had not been made or given.
In situations of urgent necessity to take decision
concerning matters to be decided by the State Council and get the
same ratified by the Council at the earliest.
13. Functions of the office bearers
a) State SGF President
i. To provide leadership to the Fellowship movement.
ii. To preside over the meetings of the State SGF General Assembly
and other Meetings.
b) Vice Presidents
i. To preside over the meetings of the State SGF in the absence of
the President.
ii. To perform the functions of President during his/her absence
and also perform the allotted responsibilities.
iii. To assist the President in all matters required to be done.
iv. To perform any functions if delegated by the President
c) State Secretary
i. To act as the Chief Executive Officer to carry out all the decisions
taken by the various limbs of the State SGF.
ii. To sue and be sued in the name of the Fellowship when so
authorized by Governing Council / Body as the case may be.
