Rules Governing Lakewood Country Club
manufacturing style prohibits. Sweatshirts are permitted to be worn in the Clubhouse;
however, the clothing may not be tattered or torn. Cotton sweatpants, including
children's wear, are not allowed in the Clubhouse, with the exception of the Men's
and Women's locker rooms. Inappropriate attire consists of, but is not limited to, tee
shirts, tank tops, halter tops, athletic shorts, cutoffs, spandex and short shorts.
For the men, hats and visors may be worn in the Clubhouse, with the exception that
hats and visors are not allowed in the downstairs indoor dining areas, which includes
the Pike's Peak Lounge (Members making the turn and using the Pike's Peak Lounge
for food and beverage pick-up are exempted). Hats and visors may not be worn
backwards or askew anywhere on the Club premises.
Swimming attire is not allowed in the Clubhouse, with the exception of adults going
to and from the Clubhouse Locker Rooms and the pool. A shirt or other swimsuit
cover-up is required of both men and women when going to and from the Clubhouse
locker rooms and the pool.
Appropriate dress, including, but not limited to, no denim, no shorts (except for
children under age 12) and no flip flops, is required for major Club functions, such as
Mother's Day brunch, Easter brunch and other recurring special events as defined by
Club management. A dress code may be established for specific parties and will be
publicized in the newsletter, in fliers and on the website.
Judicious discretion, as determined by Senior Management, will be used in all
situations of personal appearance and attire, and appropriate sanctions may be
adopted for any violations. Management has been instructed by the Board of
Directors to refuse service to any person inappropriately attired. Members are
responsible for the proper attire of their family and guests.
Fitness Room
Appropriate fitness attire, including clean athletic shoes, is required at all times.
Cotton sweatpants are permitted.
Children under the age 14 must be accompanied by a parent and are not allowed use
of the exercise or weight equipment. Children aged 14 to 20 must also be
accompanied by a parent but are allowed use of the equipment. Parents are
responsible for the safety and behavior of their children at all times.
All users of the Fitness Room are expected to clean the fitness equipment once
finished using the equipment.
Section 10. Reservations for dining are encouraged, as they enhance management's
ability to serve Members and their guests.
Section 11. Loud or profane language in or about the Clubhouse and grounds is
expressly prohibited.
