Rules Governing Lakewood Country Club
Section 13. Federal and state liquor laws will be strictly observed. Any Member or
guest who arrives at the Club intoxicated or becomes intoxicated while at the Club
will not be served alcoholic beverages. The Club policy of not serving any intoxicated
or inebriated person will be strictly enforced. Further, no alcoholic beverages are to
leave the premises. Each Member must assume responsibility, not only for his or her
own self, but for guests and fellow Members. Members hosting parties at the Club
should help monitor guests and ensure transportation home is made available for
individuals displaying behavior indicative of an excessive use of alcohol. The staff has
also been requested to determine whether an individual must be refused any more
liquor service. The Board of Directors fully supports staff judgments in these matters.
Section 14. Members and guests are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages or
food into the Clubhouse or Club grounds for consumption therein or thereon.
Section 15. The General Manager, Head Golf Professional, and/or Food & Beverage
Director, by authority from the Board of Directors, may refuse the facilities of the
Club to any Member or guest, if such action seems necessary to the best interest of
the Club.
Section 16. Lost articles not claimed within 90 days may be disposed of at the
discretion of the Facilities Committee.
Section 17. Complaints or suggestions should be submitted in writing and addressed
to the General Manager. All reasonable complaints will be given immediate
consideration, but anonymous or verbal complaints will not receive attention.
Section 18. Lockers should be locked at all times as the Club cannot accept the
responsibility for losses of Members' property anywhere around the Club. Please, do
not leave items on top of the lockers.
Section 19. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Clubhouse or pool house/
fitness facility, including outdoor covered patios, except for the designated area on
the Fireplace Patio at the Clubhouse. Smoking is not permitted on the grounds
immediately adjacent to the dining patios.
Section 20. Cell phones should be turned off or turned to the mute mode while on
the Club premises. Cell phone calls may be made or taken with discretion and in a
manner that does not annoy others. However, cell phone calls may not be made or
taken in any of the dining areas, whether indoors or outdoors.
