Rules Governing Lakewood Country Club
Section 2. All golf play, matches and tournaments shall be under the immediate
supervision of the Golf Committee, and all disputes or questions arising in connection
therewith shall be settled by the Golf Committee. Members' handicaps, computed at
proper intervals, and all announcements of matches and tournaments will be
displayed.
Section 3. No golf tournament, match or contest of any nature to which the public
may be invited shall be held on the Club grounds without prior permission from the
Board of Directors.
Section 4. Clubs or other articles of value found on the Club grounds are the
property of the Members and must, therefore, be returned to the Golf Pro Shop, for
return to the owners whenever possible. Caddies or employees failing to comply with
this ruling will be disciplined or discharged.
Section 5. The purchase of golf balls or other supplies or equipment from caddies
or employees is strictly forbidden. All such articles are on sale exclusively in the Golf
Pro Shop.
Section 6. The driving of cars on the golf course is strictly forbidden. Roads within
the course are provided for the sole purpose of facilitating inspection and
maintenance work. In the event of an emergency, however, a car may be dispatched
for assistance.
ARTICLE VI
Golf Play
Section 1. All golf play shall be governed by the rules of the United States Golf
Association, except as modified by local rules. Local rules will be posted on the
bulletin board or printed on the score cards.
Section 2. Spouses, significant others, unmarried children under 25 years of age
who reside in the immediate household of Resident, Company Resident, Senior
Resident, Pre-Resident, Company Pre-Resident, Special Resident, Non-Resident,
Associate, Honorary Golf, Honorary Spouse, and Golf Social Members are permitted
the use of the golf course, subject to the restrictions listed in the Golf Rules and
Regulations section of this roster. Junior Members, when using the course, must
regulate their play so as not to interfere with the play of the regular Members. Please
see the schedule posted on the website.
Section 3. Except for such tournaments or interclub team matches as may be
approved by the Board of Directors, the use of the course is restricted to Members
and their guests. Golf Social Members are allowed access to the golf course as
determined by the Board of Directors. Golf Social and House Social Members may be
the guest no more than twice per month of a Resident, Company Resident, Senior
