In our practice, we experience every day how enormously
important the knowledge of a personality typology is. But also
in relation to ourselves, it is helpful to expand our knowledge of
ourselves and people with a typology - this is shown by the
story that Frank is now telling.
A yellow-red in a blue-green environment: can it work?
I remember it as if it happened yesterday: It was about 28 years ago, I
was still relatively young and inexperienced, I was working for a large
corporation in Switzerland after I had finished my business studies. A
position became available in controlling. In terms of my career
development, it was really very exciting - but controlling, of course, was
not my world at all: I was an extroverted visionary in a team of three
people in which nothing was said all day except "good morning".
... You can perhaps already anticipate what happened: "Talent meets
opposite," as I always call it these days in seminars and lectures.
That means that I, as a yellow-red who was catapulted into a blue-green
environment in which there was neither communication nor
innovation, and certainly no creativity and exchange, felt firsthand what
I can say today, supported by studies: This constellation benefits no
one, neither the employee nor the team and the department - nor the
company. And the personal effects are equally fatal - how often have I
come home in the evening completely drained of energy and
exhausted?
That's why it's so important to help companies, as well as students and
applicants, put the right talent in the right places. And above all, the
