5. Serves on the School Improvement Team.
6. Serves on system-wide committees as requested by the Administration.
7. Assists with behavior management situations when appropriate.
8. Acts as a mentor for new teachers.
9. Assists the school’s Level Coordinator, and administration with the implementation of
school and system initiatives.
10. Works closely with the immediate supervisor in matters related to
organization/administration that are conducive to the efficient operation of the school.
11. Works with other team leaders and/or faculty members as deemed necessary.
12. Dedicates time for after-school duties on an as-needed basis.
13. Maintains a working knowledge of all relevant School Board Policies to ensure proper
implementation by the grade level team.
14. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
• Student Activity Coordinator (BES)
Responsible for the co-curricular program of the Basic Education School, including but not limited to
athletic and non-athletic activities. Provide resources to the Clubs and coordinate their activities to ensure that
a well-rounded program is offered to the students. Develop and manage student activities program designed
to promote student growth and development and to successfully retain students.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan, organize, coordinate and supervise various educational, recreational, social and
cultural student events in the Basic Education School.
2. Assist student government, student clubs and their sponsors in planning and organizing
school activities.
3. Promote the creation of and development of new clubs and help identify potential club
advisors among existing personnel.
4. Develop leadership skills in students.
5. Facilitate, promote and assist with student recognition/award presentation events.
6. Develop and maintain a student handbook on how to form a club, with general
information for club officers, advisors and potential club members.
7. Remain visible and approachable to all students, faculty, staff, and community members
at all times, and act as a resource by providing answers to questions or assistance as
requested.
8. Offer useful, tactful, and safe advice to individuals regarding their program and/or use
of equipment.
9. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the School Principal.
Coordinates with: Accounting, Student Affairs Office, Activity Coordinator,
School Nurse, Property & Supplies Officer, Facility Services Supervisor, Technical Support
and other services staff.
• BES Extension Coordinator
1. Initiates regular extension planning sessions for the Basic Education School;
a. proposed project based on the thrusts and priorities of the program;
b. Consolidates project proposals suggested by the teachers;
c. Presents the proposal to the Head of Community Extension Services for deliberation to
avoid overlapping of activities, and assigns persons who will be involved in the activities
including students’ participation.
2. Submits reports of all on-going and/or completed extension activities to the CES Head;
3. Leads in the implementation of approved extension activities of the BES;
4. Conducts periodic monitoring and evaluation of the activities implemented by the BES; and
5. Manages community outreach services and activities either in-campus or community-based.
