11. Evaluate courses offered by other schools to determine their equivalency to courses offered in
the College;
12. maintaining student database information; and providing advising related to registration and
program completion;
13. maintain student files, including new, active, and inactive files;
14. process transcript requests;
15. assists in registration, and provides information to students, faculty and staff as needed;
16. update student demographic data;
17. update SIS (Student Information System) and degree worksheets yearly with new catalogue
information;
18. process student enrolment verifications/certification letters;
19. assist with commencement (duties assigned by registrar);
20. provide various SIS and reports as needed;
21. update statistical reports each semester/year as needed; and
22. Performs related duties as required. Performs such other duties as may be directed by his
superiors.
Coordinates with: College Dean and Program Heads,
Vice-Principals, Level Coordinators, Registrar, Guidance Counselling &
Testing, School Nurse, and other services staff
Guidance and Testing Center
1) Coordinates with the academic unit heads on the planning and development, implementation,
and evaluation of guidance, counseling, and testing services, projects, and activities and the
development of policies and procedures governing such activities.
2) Identifies and secures testing and assessment instruments for the Institution; initiates the
generation of internally-developed instruments and the development of local norms and
standards for externally-sourced tests.
3) Oversees the administration of testing and assessment activities for students of the Institution.
4) Coordinate with the Registrar’s office regarding entrance examination requirements in relation
to admission procedures for new students; provides testing and conducts interviews for
applicants for admission in collaboration with the Registrar’s office and other academic
administrators; provides interpretation of results to serve as basis for admission decisions.
5) Supervises the implementation of testing and interview procedures for applicants to
scholarship grants; prepares recommendations to approving authorities on the basis of
assessment results.
6) Supervises the provision planned, sequential, and comprehensive guidance and counseling
services to students.
7) Identifies and addresses the needs of special students segments through customized guidance
programs and related activities.
8) Undertakes studies and prepares recommendation to the academic administrators on aspects
of the curriculum to be emphasized, enriched, or modified based on findings from the test
administration and evaluations.
9) Undertakes, as may be necessary, individual interviews and case studies of students referred to
the office.
10) Manages the provision of educational/ vocational guidance and career orientation for students.
11) Provides counseling interventions to faculty members, employees of the school, as well as
parents of students, when requested.
