6) Assists the school counselor in the preparation, organization and collection of testing
materials, administering and monitoring group tests, preparing and organizing answer
sheets.
7) Assists in the preparation of counselor assessments and accountability data, performs
routine collecting and analytical statistical operations.
8) Performs related and required duties as assigned.
▪ Career Guidance & Placement Coordinator
Under general supervision, performs a variety of oversight functions related to Career
Counseling and job/internship placement of students for Senior High School; organize, maintain,
operate and implements job/internship placement services to designated students; provide a wide
variety of career information and materials; communicate with students, faculty, parents and industry
representatives concerning career planning and college entrance.
Duties and Responsibilities
1) Generate job/internship placement and employment opportunities for ICC students and
alumni by establishing and maintaining productive industry partnerships.
2) Help students identify employment options that match their career interests. Assist
students in all aspects of the job search including resume writing, interviewing techniques
and job referrals.
3) Participate in coordination and organization of on-campus events such as the annual
Career and Internship job fair.
4) Ensure that new jobs and internships are posted. Assist in publicizing job placement and
internship opportunities to the College community.
5) Develop an active on-campus business and industry presence. Schedule and advertise
campus recruitment for employers.
6) Assist with maintaining employer database(s). Maintain student files as needed. Submit
monthly report.
7) Provide targeted career information and resources for specific majors and interest groups
to students and alumni as needed.
8) Initiates and maintains contact with prospective employers and agencies.
9) Presents career information and related subject matter to students.
10) Guides students in their preparation to seek employment.
11) Assists students with career research and selection of career options.
12) Assists in the placement of students in other educational or training institutions.
13) Schedules student meetings, appointments, and interviews related to program.
14) Performs such other duties as may be directed by his superiors.
Coordinates with: SHS Vice Principal, Program Head, Research,
Activity Coordinator, HRDMO, and other services staff
