a) Assists in the mechanical processing of library materials by providing accession
numbers, stamping of ownership marks, covering and pasting of book pockets, date due
slips, and bar-code labels.
b) Encodes bibliographic data into the computerized records.
c) Arranges library materials in respective shelves, cabinets, and other display and storage
receptacles; ensures cleanliness and orderliness of shelves, containers, and receptacles
and other learning resource materials contained therein.
d) Examines the conditions of books, periodicals and other reading materials and arranges
for repair and mending tasks when necessary.
e) Assists in library users in locating / identifying sources of needed reference materials.
f) Assists in the dissemination of information on available library materials and articles that
may be of interest to administrators, faculty, staff, and student and in the campaign to
encourage increased library usage.
g) Helps ensure compliance by users with the library rules and regulations and maintains
orderliness in the library premises.
h) Monitors users leaving the library to ensure that no materials are brought out without
corresponding documentation and authorization.
i) Prepares and distributes overdue notices to borrower as well as collection notices for
lost or damage library resources; collects fines for overdue library resources and
restitution payments. Issues, provisional receipt, and turns over collections to the
Cashier at the end of each day.
j) Delivers requisitioned library materials and circulars / announcements on new
acquisitions and available library resources to academic and administrative departments.
k) Reproduces relevant articles from newspapers and periodicals and does searching of
bibliographic data from the internet.
l) Assist in the checking of new acquisitions against invoices to establish cost price that
will serve as basis for charging borrowers in cases of loss or damage.
m) Participates in the conduct of the periodic inventory of books and other library
materials.
▪ School Nurse
The school nurse is a registered professional nurse working in the school setting who strengthens
and facilitates the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of children.The major
focus of health care services is the prevention of illness and disability, and the early detection and
correction of health problems. The school nurse is uniquely qualified in preventive health, health
assessment, and referral procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
1) Initiates the development of health maintenance plans, programs, and activities in coordination
and cooperation with different department heads to promote health and wellness among the
members of the school community.
2) Responds to medical emergencies; administers first aid treatment to students and employees,
taking into consideration the independent and dependent functions and decision making
authorities.
3) Issues over-the-counter medicine as requested by students and employees of the school upon
clearance with the school physicians and/or personal doctors.
