a) Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
b) Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
c) Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software
faults. Replace parts as required.
d) Internet laboratory operation monitoring, hardware maintenance and supervision.
e) Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
f) Create and prepare service documents for ICT recording.
g) Support the roll-out of new applications.
h) Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
i) Provide user assistance to all departments and offices.
j) Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
k) Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
l) Rapidly establish a good working relationship with other suppliers and other professionals,
such as software developers.
m) Test and evaluate new technology.
n) Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
o) Support realization of the School’s ICT Mission and Vision.
p) Assures the implementation and achievement of goals and objectives of the department.
q) Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of ICT duties.
o IT Equipment Custodian
Manage laboratory(s) for specialized instructional and/or research computing
applications. Responsible for supervising all operations of laboratory including user assistance,
software management, hardware integrity, scheduling, and planning for future needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
a) Installs new software and hardware, determines supply needs.
b) Assists users with problems and provides education and information on lab use and
capabilities.
c) Keeps informed of state-of-art hardware and software and provides expert advice.
d) Cleans and organizes computer lab facilities.
e) Responsible for physical arrangement of laboratory space and inventory; supervises the
operation of a computer information center and remote labs including instructional and
administrative applications and platforms.
f) Coordinates hardware, software and cable installations.
g) Oversees the development of documentation and user's manuals.
h) Coordinate all activities, task, accomplishments, updates, and procedures.
i) Coordinate with department heads for laboratory schedule.
j) Assists faculty and staff in developing specialized training materials, provides technical
assistance to faculty and staff in host/client software programs.
k) Coordinates and reports task status, deficiencies and accomplishment to all concerned
offices and departments.
l) Prepares computer usage reports ensure the timely and accurate reporting of the
Information Communication Technology (ICT), update, task, accomplishment and
deficiency.
m) Develop laboratory budget, controls and manages the Computer Laboratory supplies and
other consumable supplies within the ICT department.
