pupils/students can learn.
1. Participates actively in ensuring clean, safe, and hygienic environment for
students, employees, and visitors of the Institution.
2. Performs routine janitorial tasks such as sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, waxing,
polishing, and waste disposal in assigned areas.
3. Participates in periodic general cleaning as directed by the superior in response
to requests of departments and work units.
4. Collects trash and empties / cleans garbage receptacles following guidelines on
trash segregation and environmental care.
5. Arranges tables, chairs, desks, equipment, etc. inside classrooms and offices;
takes care of moving furniture, fixtures, and equipment from one location to another.
6. Assists in the physical arrangement of rooms, school grounds, and facilities
during special occasions.
7. Prepares set up of rooms and provision of facilities requirements for Institutional
functions and activities such as meetings, conferences, training programs, or social
activities in conformity with users’ requirements.
8. Assists in maintaining security buildings by checking, opening, closing and
locking doors and windows, and by checking and unplugging electrical appliances to
ensure that hazards are not created.
9. Reports damages to and losses of school property as well as needed repairs on
civil works as observed within the assigned work area.
10. Assists in basic maintenance and repairs of civil works and simple equipment.
11. Takes custody of janitorial materials, supplies, tool and equipment; initiates
requisition for replenishment of depleted stocks.
o DRIVER
1. Drives the assigned school vehicle and transports authorized passengers such as
the school administrators, personnel, teachers, students, or guests on a regular schedule or
on special trips as needed by institutional constituents and as specified by requests and trip
tickets and / or as directed by superiors during emergencies.
2. Checks the operating condition of the school vehicle requested before starting
on a trip; maintains transportation unit in a daily basis by checking fuel and oil levels and
ensuring that engines, lights, tires, brakes, horns, windshield wiper, and other important
vehicle parts are in good working condition.
3. Studies routes to destination as well as operative traffic regulations in particular
localities to ensure travel efficiency and convenience.
4. Submits completed trip tickets to superior upon completion of travel with
records of passengers, routes, mileage, travel and waiting time, gasoline consumption, and
incidents per trip.
5. Cleans vehicle by way of regular washing of exterior body, windows, and mirrors,
and by vacuuming and dusting interiors.
6. Prepares vehicle maintenance service schedule; secures the approval of the
superior; implements and keeps records of preventive maintenance activities.
7. Recommends requisitions and / or replacement of needed spare parts and
automotive accessories.
8. Does minor trouble shooting of vehicles and takes corrective action during
vehicle malfunction on the road; arranges for repair and/or towing service as needed.
