The Spiritual Care Professional, Resident or patient care unit provides the above
information to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese. If the priest is in need of any
further information the individual who called the Roman Catholic Archdiocese will
be called for follow up.

In the event that a Priest does not come in, the Spiritual Care Professional or
Resident will follow up with the department manager(s) who will in turn follow up
with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.

Addendum: Both Bickel and Lyndhurst sites fall outside the catchment area for
the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto. As a result, when a priest is
requested, the Spiritual Care Professional/Resident will call the local parish. The
Priest in the local parish will be encouraged to have a memorandum of
understanding with the University Health Network and will be required to attend
volunteer orientation.
