3.4 Legal Compliance/ Liaison with Enforcing authorities (HSE)
The business is committed to full compliance with all relevant legislation.
The company health and safety advisor is responsible for identifying all relevant regulations and
providing advice on the minimum standards required to ensure compliance.
All workplace audits and inspections carried out by the company safety advisor include reviews
of activities against the legal standards.
The company safety advisor monitors all planned changes in relevant legislation and where
necessary amends business procedures and practices to maintain legal compliance.
Should a Health and Safety Executive inspector undertake an inspection of the business operation
the company safety advisor will support and advise the company management on any comments
and interventions arising.
3.5 Competent Advice for Health and Safety Matters
The business engages an external competent health and safety advisor to provide professional
advice and support on all matters of the business.
Details of the advisors’ credentials are maintained on file and provided for all interested parties.
Managers and supervisors are trained to a sufficient level to manage their day to day duties.
Training records are maintained and training is recorded on the company training matrix.
