4-114 Use extension cords to meet temporary needs only and protect
                                         from traffic, oil and water.

4-115 Use extension cords that are equipped with ground fault protection
or plugged into an outlet that is GFCI protected.

4-116 Use approved non-conductive “fuse pullers” for removing and
                                         replacing fuses.

4-117 Electrical workers must wear approved non-conductive safety hard
                                         hats.

4-118 Do not use water on electrical fires.

4-119 Be aware of the possibility of remote control operated equipment.
While remote-control operators are required to sound a warning
signal before starting such equipment remotely, you should always
consider such equipment to be operating at all times unless
                                         properly locked out.

4-120 Do not wear nylon or synthetic clothing while working on electrical
circuits. Instead, always wear the appropriate Arc Flash Class 0-4
                                         rated PPE.

4-121 Do not wear jewelry (rings, watches, or similar objects) while
                                         working on electrical circuits.

4-122 Stand on non-conductive mats in Motor Control Centers or metal
platforms that are at the same potential as the grounded, non-
carrying parts of the power switches that are to be operated.

                               ELECTRICAL LOCKOUT AND TAGOUT PROCEDURES
                               - STATIONARY EQUIPMENT (4-200)

4-200 Whenever a piece of equipment or machinery requires detailed
inspection, cleaning, repair, or service, it must be electrically and
mechanically de-energized before any employee may begin work
on the equipment. Each employee will be required to use a safety
lock and tag to successfully complete the de-energizing task.

4-201 Determine where the proper disconnect point is located and that
you are locking out the intended equipment. All disconnect points
should be clearly marked. If in doubt as to proper location of the
disconnect point, have the supervisor or operator in that area of
responsibility either show you where the disconnect point is or
verify that you have identified the proper disconnect point.

4-202 DO NOT disconnect or turn main breaker to the “OFF”
position while equipment is under load. Call the supervisor for
verification if you are not sure whether equipment is remotely
operated. If equipment is remotely operated, go to the control
