STOREROOM SAFETY (12-100)
12-100 As a storeroom employee, you must be completely familiar with
all Office Safety Rules in addition to these Storeroom Safety
Rules.
12-101 Keep aisles and passageways clear and unobstructed, even
when unloading materials.
12-102 Secure all irregular items that may tip or fall over.
12-103 Remove all protruding nails and staples from packing materials
to eliminate snagging. Discard all banding materials properly.
12-104 Whenever you hoist or lower material, give adequate warning to
all personnel.
12-105 Store large heavy items on lower shelves. Test object before
lifting or moving.
12-106 Secure all storage racks so that they will not fall.
12-107 Properly label, store and transport hazardous materials
according to applicable regulations.
12-108 Wear appropriate gloves when loading, unloading or handling
sharp objects.
12-109 Follow safe lifting and material handling procedures.
