                 Pendekatan Cooperative Learning melalui Metode Think Pair
                 Share Terhadap Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa Kelas VII SMP

                                               Abstract
               The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the methods of
               Think Pair Share Strategy on students' speaking skills in communicating
               the  most  memorable  experiences.  The  method  used  in  this  research  is
               quasi  experimental  method.  How  to  use  observation  data  collection  by
               conducting  the  pretest  and  posttest.  Based  on  the  results  of  research
               conducted by researchers there is an increase in students' speaking skills
               after the second class are given a different treatment is experimental class
               was given treatment by using Think Pair Share while class is given control
               treatment using conventional methods. Such improvements can be seen
               from the results of hypothesis testing with T-count of the pretest was 0.6
               and a T-table of 2.00 means that students' speaking skills using Think Pair
               Share is not higher or equal to the student using conventional methods.
               Once treated and given a post-test to the class into two pos-tests with T-
               count  of  2.45  and  2.00  for  T-table  means  that  there  is  a  difference
               between  the  speaking  skills  of  students  using  Think  Pair  Share  with
               students using conventional methods.

               Pendahuluan
                     Pendidikan  merupakan  kegiatan  interaksi.  Dalam  kegiatan
               interaksi tersebut pendidik dan guru bertindak mendidik si peserta
               didik  atau  siswa,  tindakan  mendidik  tersebut  tertuju  pada
               perkembangan  siswa  menjadi  mandiri  dan  untuk  berkembang
               menjadi mandiri tentunya siswa harus belajar. Setiap keterampilan
               itu  berhubungan  erat  pula  dengan  proses-proses  berpikir  yang
               mendasari bahasa. Semakin terampil seseorang berbahasa, semakin
