program in day care centers along: attainment of objectives, effectiveness, adequacy of utensils
and facilities and provisions of support services. Problem No. 4 dealt on the problems met in
the implementation of the feeding program in day care centers, Problem No. 5 dealt on the
intervention activities and practices to lessen or eliminate problems in the implementation of the
feeding program in day care centers by the day care workers.
The findings are: 1) with regards to the profile or age, they are on the age bracket of
20-31 above years old, dominantly married, and almost all of them are college graduates, with
5 years and below length of service and enjoy teaching kids and shows concern and love for
children. Majority of the feeding program in day care centers existed from 6-10 years with an
enrolment of 15-30 day care learners. Day care centers are mostly located in the barangay and
budget source is the national government. The extent of implementation of the feeding program
is “attained” as evidenced by the overall weighted mean of 3.81. The respondents encountered
“moderately serious” problems which is 2.69. Based on the problems intervention activities and
practices were proposed.
The following conclusions are hereby presented: 1.) the profile variables of the
respondents are not that impressive enough for they are only college graduates and had few
years of service as day care workers. However, they have the right attitudes towards their work,
2.) Day Care workers are still wanting to improve their feeding program extent of implementation.
The problems encountered are common problems encountered by any day care worker.
In the light of findings and conclusions the recommendations are: 1) All concerned
day care workers must be encouraged to enroll in graduate studies for their masteral degree
and attend seminars on school feeding to enhance their knowledge, skills and capabilities, 2)
recommend the implementation of the intervention activities and practices, 3) a more carefully
selected variables in day care feeding program service should further be identified, specifically
those strong indicators for very effective feeding program, 4) further, research should be
considered to look into other concerns of feeding program in day care centers not covered by
the study.

JERRY F. REYES JR.
This study assessed the performance of triage nurses in dealing with emergency cases
at the Region I Medical Center, Dagupan City. The researcher used the descriptive survey design.
The respondents of the study are the 73 triage nurses who were assigned at the Emergency
Room from August to September 2014. The researcher used a structured questionnaire in
addition to the interview conducted from the respondents. The statistical treatment of data used
are percentage method for the specific sub-problem number 1, average weighted mean for the
specific sub-problem number 2 and Analysis of Variances (ANOVA) for sub-problem number 3.
Based on the survey and gathered responses, the following findings were generated:
