Based on the data gathered in the study, the researchers came up with the following
findings: majority of the respondents are under the age bracket of 41 years old and above,
dominated by males, majority of them are married, had finished their education, most of
them were housewife, has monthly income of Php 5,000 and below and has two child in the
family. The respondents generally are highly aware that the dengue was caused by the bite

is alleviated by tepid sponge bath, drinking tawa tawa was use to treat dengue fever and it is
important to destroy breeding places by cleaning the surroundings. Based also on the results

not recommended for patients who has dengue, drinking boiled neem tree leaves can raised the
             number of platelets.

dominated by the male adults, had their partners in life with the sanctity of marriage, did not
pursue their college degree, with low income and average number of children. Some of the

if not cured abruptly and alternative treatment of dengue fever. Most of the respondents are
aware on the medical treatment and prevention of dengue. It could be related to the advanced
technology, such as media, internet and programs of the government.
The researcher suggested the following: the respondents must be oriented about the
disease since they are the one risk of having the disease. The respondents must be informed
on the complications, the management, and alternative treatment of the disease. The proposed
community-based information material will be distributed to the respondents after the go signal
of the community health office. Future studies can be done in a wider scale using other variables.
