fitness program vary according to their age. The respondents did not significantly differ on their
perceptions on the effects of physical fitness across their sex. The positive mean differences of
0.615, 0.457, 0.583 and 0.551 further indicate that the single health care providers have higher
level of perceptions on the effects of physical fitness as compared to the married ones. Statistical
values show that there exists no significant difference in the effects of physical fitness across
highest educational attainment. The perceptions of the health care providers on the effects of
physical fitness are influenced by their length of stay in the service; and 4) The physical fitness
activities and the respondents did not show significant relationship to their perceptions on the
       effects of physical fitness.
The study concluded that 1) majority of the respondents belong to the most dominated
gender since the healthcare profession is dominated by females, young adults and finished their
bachelors’ degree, employed for 1 – 3 years in the hospital and undertakes brisk walking as their
physical fitness activity; 2) The physical activities presented in the study were highly effective in
terms of the respondents’ physical, mental/emotional, and social aspects; 3) The respondents
differ in perception on the effects of physical activities as to physical, mental/emotional, and
social across their profile. Therefore, there are significant differences in the effects of physical
fitness as perceived by the health care providers across their profile variables. Hence, the null
hypothesis is rejected; and 4) There is no significant relationship between the effects of physical
fitness of health care providers and their profile variables. Therefore, the null hypothesis is
       accepted.
The study recommended that 1) The health care institution must provide physical fitness
facilities in the work places that are conducive with user friendly equipment that all employees,
despite their profile differences, can easily utilize; 2) The health care workers must continually
adopt their physical fitness activities in order for them to be kept fit and healthy; 3) The health
lifestyle advocacy program of the Provincial Government must be continually implemented
among their hospitals in Pangasinan.; and 4) Future researches should be conducted with the
same relevance focusing on the advocacy activities of healthcare providers in promoting physical
fitness. Larger study group is also proposed to future researchers.
