                       How Stagnation Kills Businesses

Stagnation: the state of not owing or moving.

Been to Blockbuster video lately? Probably not, because they aren't
around anymore. What about Montgomery Wards, Sears, Kmart or
Circuit City? Or how about this, when is the last time you bought a

physical CD from a record store like Sam Goody? Even if record
stores still exist, I'm betting that it's been years.

I can go on and on with the list of companies that didn't prepare for

the 'shift' in the marketplace to online retail sales. What we take for
granted today was not commonplace when these companies were in
their heyday. If they would have seen the proverbial 'writing on the
wall', they'd still be going strong.

But while it may be true that the internet was instrumental in
putting the 'nail in the co n' of those stagnant companies. It has
served as a gateway of possibilities like never before for businesses

who know how to harness it's power e ectively.

Small 'mom & pop' organizations that were once forced out of
business by the "big boys", now have a level playing eld to play on

because everything online is virtual. The days of needing a huge
o ce with an enormous sta in order to garner respect in the
marketplace are long gone. Now is the dawn of the "lean and mean"
companies. If your web presence is right, you can compete.
