Chapter 10 Initial Startup
Startup Procedure
Exit Arm Cylinders
a) Remove the exit cylinder blocks located in the carriage side pods from the location that they are shipped in and
move them to the alternitave location as shown below.
Longer Stroke (default location) Shorter Stroke
b) Using a 5/8” wrench, spin the cylinder rod so that the clevis stays attached to the arm.
Note: DO NOT USE PLIERS, VISE-GRIPS OR ANY OTHER TOOL THAT WILL DAMAGE
THE CYLINDER ROD. THIS WILL CAUSE CYLIDER FAILURE.
c) Slide the Limit Stops over the rod, thread it onto the cylinder and tighten it down with light pressure.
d) Slide the Posi-Stop over the rod and use a wrench to tighen the rod back onto the clevis.
e) While making sure you do not cross-thread the clevis, tighten it down all the way.
f) Pull the arm in and use it to press the Posi-Stop into the Limit Stop.
g) Make sure everything is completely tightened.
h) Repeat the process on the other arm if necessary for clearance of obstruction.
