Optional Deluxe Boom

Connecting the Boom
At this point the carriage is plumbed to accommodate the proper equipment room / Boom Mount location. The next
steps will describe how to hook up the Deluxe Boom and how to route the utilities through the new Boom.

• There are two Boom Arm Assemblies that are mirror images of each other. To determine which arm mounts to the
wall and which arm mounts to the machine, observe where the side detail plates are located. These detail plates
mount the Boom Bushings. They are to face the entrance of the machine which will position the large
high/medium pressure hose on the outside of the bend radius. See image below for an overview of the Boom in
place.

• The arms will mount differently depending on driver side or passenger side boom location. Mount each arm in its
proper location. The image below shows how the Boom Assembly will be rotated when the equipment room is on
the opposite side.

• Next take note that liquid tight plastic tubing will need to be ran at each end of the boom and at the center of the
boom. It will be easier to fish the lines without hooking these on till after the lines are pushed through
them. On the wall side of the boom, two 50 inch lengths of liquid tight will need to be run. In the center of the
boom on the inside of the bend run the 28’’ section of liquid tight. On the outside bend of the boom in the center,
run the 33-1/2’’ length of liquid tight. At the machine side location run the two remaining lengths of 28’’ liquid tight.

• The Freestyler is shipped pre wired from the factory, for this reason it will be necessary to run the wires from the
machine back through the proper boom tube. The airlines should be run from the pump locations out to the
machine through the proper boom tube. Follow the next steps to run the utilities properly through the boom.
