Chapter 6 Frame and Carriage Assembly
Mounting the Boom
The Boom Clamp can be mounted in either direction depending on your building requirements. The
images below show how the clamp can be slid back and forth once orientation has been selected.

4) Mark the wall at 151” from the entrance edge of the exit end Head Beam towards the entrance of the bay on the
equipment room side. This mark is to be at 11-1/8” above the top surface of the Drive Rail. This will center the Boom
Mount to the Carriage Assemblies travel.

· 11-1/8” for tall Boom Mounts with Dryers
· 5-5/8” for short Boom Mounts with no Dryer

Note: The Boom Wall Mount Clamp may need to be cut to fit into a narrow bay. If this is the
case, it is the remain long enough to extend 3/4” beyond the edge of the Boom Mount
Clamp .
5) Slide the Boom Clamp Assembly onto the Wall Mount Assembly.
6) Secure the Wall Mount Assembly to the forklift and raise it to the appropriate height while centering its base to the mark
on the wall.
Note: The Wall Mount assembly may be on the driver side or passenger side, which ever is closest
to the equipment room.
