Installation

DuraBlaster® Start Up
Test the tire sensing device and verify that the optional controller or wheel sensor timer senses the
input.

Controller
The fixed or rotational activation device position will vary based on your system. If you have a
Belanger® controller such as the Centra® or Integra®, a tire position sensor input keeps track of both
the front and rear tire positions. See DuraBlaster® Assembly and Placement in this manual for further
installation instructions. For other controllers with tire or wheel position capabilities, follow their
manuals for instructions.
For tunnel controllers without tire sensing, purchase an optional Belanger® wheel sensor device (a
Bell Hose or Photo-eye and a wheel sensor timer box). Attach the included timer control box to the air
panel. The timer control box will have an on delay and an off delay to be set when the system is
operational. Set the timers to 3 seconds to start. The timers will be adjusted, probably to a shorter
length of time, after the tracking speed flow controls are set to match the conveyor speed. See the
diagrams in DuraBlaster® Assembly and Placement (pages 14 and 15 of this manual) for correct
placement of activation devices if your controller does not have tire position sensing.
Pneumatic Startup (Rotating DuraBlaster® ONLY)

Begin by setting the main air regulator at 80PSI on the Air Panel. Set the tracking speed and return
speed flow controls for initial setting, as shown below. Verify that both DuraBlasters® are pointed
toward the entrance of the tunnel. Correct any airline plumbing if necessary.
