Initial Startup Procedures
CTA Foam Bullets®
1) Using the controller force on the function(s) for the Foam Bullets® chemical delivery and LEDs.
2) While running water through the Sudzameleon® Arch, verify that there are no leaks in any of
the fittings or connections for the Foam Bullets®.
3) Working with a local chemical supplier; determine the initial settings for the chemical to water
ratio for the delivery system.
4) Turn the air regulator up that feeds the MixStir® pump to 80psi and inspect the Foam Bullets®
for the proper consistency of water and chemical. The mixture should be coming out of all the
Foam Bullet® nozzle tips at about the same consistency. If one or more of the tips are not
passing fluid, turn off the functions to inspect and clean the spray nozzles. Make sure that there
are no water leaks at any of the hose connections or nozzles.
5) If necessary, adjust the ratio of the chemical/water mixture to find the best combination of
settings that will produce the desired spray but uses the least amount of chemical. This can be
done by changing out the tips that are supplied with the HydroMinder on the MixStir®.
6) The position at which the CTA Foam Bullets® are aimed at the vehicle can be fine tuned by
making adjustments to the Multi-Axis™ Mount as follows:
Rotational: Loosen the two fasteners connecting the Pivot Mount to the Mount Plate then
rotate the Pivot Mount, Clevis and Foam Bullet® assembly to the desired position and
retighten the fasteners.
