Air Connections: Air Panel to Airis® Assemblies
1) Route a field supplied 1/4" poly-flow airline from the Main Air supply and connect it to the Main
Feed Port located on the bottom of the Air Panel Valve.
3/8” Extend & Retract Ports
Air Panel: 111389
1/4” Main Valve
Feed Port
2) Run two field supplied 3/8” poly-flow airlines from the ports on top of the Air Panel Valve out to
the Air Cannons™ these lines will be used to control the Airis® Cylinders, refer to Note below.
Designate one of the airlines as Cylinder Extend and one as Cylinder Retract.
3) In the Airis® accessory box locate the two Union-Y Unequal 3/8”T x 1/4"T Fittings (1UNION-
PL690). Install the Union-Y Fittings into each of the 3/8” poly-flow airlines that have been routed
to the wash bay.
4) Connect two 1/4" poly-flow airlines to the Union-Y Fitting on the extend airline. Route an airline to
each Air Cannon™ and connect them to the extend ports on the Airis® Cylinders.
Note: For best results, run the 3/8” airlines as close
Extend Port
to the Air Cannons™ as possible before
Extend Flow Control Valve reducing to the 1/4" airlines with the unions.
Airis® Cylinder
Note: Make sure that the 1/4" airlines are equal in
length to each Airis® cylinder this will ensure
Retract Port that the Airis® assemblies will react similar in
Retract Flow Control Valve speed.
Airis® Assembly
Note: The rate at which the Airis® Assemblies open
and close can be controlled by adjusting the
Flow Controls on the Airis® Cylinder’s
Extend and Retract Ports.
5) Connect two 1/4" poly-flow airlines to the Union-Y Fitting on the retract airline. Route an airline to
each Air Cannon™ and connect them to the retract port on the Airis® Cylinders.
6) Use the Controller to turn on the Airis® Assemblies to confirm they are operating properly.
7) Adjust the flow controls on each Cylinder to achieve the desired opening and closing speed of the
Airis®.
