DRIVER SIDE POD COMPNENTS
Replacing the Shuttle Valve
1) Turn off the main air to the machine
2) The shuttle valve is located on the left side of the 8 port valve assembly. See the image
below.

3) The Valve Manifold assembly is clipped onto a piece of DIN Rail that is mounted to the
carriage side plate. Gently pull the Valve Manifold assembly from the bottom of the DIN Rail
and angle it outward to remove it from the Din Rail.
4) Remove the airline from each pneumatic fitting on the shuttle valve, making sure to keep note
of which color airline went to which fitting. See the image above in Step 2.
Remove both fittings from the shuttle valve.
5) Once the fittings are out, hold onto the nipple with the appropriate size wrench and loosen the
shuttle valve by using a crescent wrench.
Note: Apply liquid Teflon to the nipple before tightening the new shuttle valve in place.
6) Tighten the fittings back in.
Note: DO NOT OVERTIGHEN THE PNEUMATIC FITTINGS.
Push the airlines in place.
Re-mount the valve manifold assembly.
7) Turn on the main air supply to the machine.
