Chapter 3 General Repairs
Drive Motor
7) Rewire the motor putting the correct wires to their respective terminals.
8) Reattach the drive shaft to the machine.
Line up the driver side clamp key to the driver side drive shaft. See the image below.

Middle Drive Shaft
You will most likely need to jack up the passenger side roller as well so you can turn the
shaft to line up the key slots. See the image below.
Note: Use either both safety brackets per side or all four safety brackets in order to jack the
machine up evenly.

Once you have the middle drive shaft back up in the air, adjust the collar clamps so that
the spacing is even on both ends of the middle drive shaft. See the image above in Step
8.
Pull in on both outer shafts so the bolts holding the shafts onto the bearings are tight with
no slop. See the image above in Step 8.
Once these parameters are met, tighten the collar clamps down.
9) Loosen the jack bolt on the passenger side roller until the jack bolt is not extended below the
safety roller bracket and the machine lowers back onto the rails. See the image above in Step
8.
Tighten down the jam nut. See the image above in Step 8.
10) Test the machine to make sure the carriage travels in the correct direction.
