MAINTENANCE
Chapter 3 General Repairs
Replacing an Arm Rotation Bearing
1) Place a block or some type of spacer underneath the bottom of the hub at the wheel.
Note: The easiest way to do this would be measure the height with a tape measure and cut something
to the right size to fit snug underneath the hub or use a jack.
Also you should have somebody stabilize the arm as you perform the repair.
2) Once these steps have been met:
Loosen the bearing bolts and set screws, and slide the old bearing off the machine. See
the image below.
Shaft Collar
Upper Bearings Only
Bearings have two set-screws each
Note: If it is an upper bearing, you will need to remove the shaft collar from the top of the shaft as
well. See the image above.
3) Slide the new bearing back onto the shaft; tighten the bolts back into the bearing mount
attachment. See the image above in Step 2.
Then tighten the set screws,
If it is an upper bearing put the aluminum shaft collar back onto the top of the shaft and
tighten it.
Replacing a Pivot Shaft Assembly
1) Follow the steps to replace a bent shaft explained above.
2) Loosen the set screw that holds the wheel nozzles in place and unscrew the nozzle housing
(white plastic piece) from the machine. See the image below.
