Çré Vraja-réti-cintämaëi

               shoots; vibhänti—are splendidly manifested; vänéya—of the forest;
               dhenu-gaëa—cows; jagdha—eaten; gandha—aroma; tåëaiù—with
               grass; sugandhiné—aromatic; diçäà mukhäni—all directions.
            Wild elephants have broken the tender young branches of
            fragrant sallaké trees, and wild buffaloes have spread the aroma
            of fresh grass by their grazing. All this has made the Vraja forest
            very aromatic.

                             kuträpi kéçaiù kavalé-kåtänäà
                         drakñä-phalänäà bahu-guccha-gucchaiù
                            sac-chaditäni cchavim ärabhante
                           bhuvas taläny amra-phalädibhiç ca


               kuträpi—in  some  places;  kéçaiù—by  monkeys;  kavalé-kåtänäm—
               eaten; drakñä-phalänäm—of grapes; bahu-guccha-gucchaiù—with
               many bunches; sat—nicely; chaditäni—shaded; chavim—splendor;
               ärabhante—manifests; bhuvaù—of the land; taläni—the surface;
               amra-phala-ädibhiù—with mangoes and other fruits.

            In some places the ground of the forest is covered with bunches
            of grapes partly eaten by monkeys, and in other places ripe
            mangoes ahve fallen on the ground. All this has made the Vraja
            forest very beautiful.

                           sat-karëa-bhüñä maricädi-gucchäù
                            pulinda-käntäù pracaranti yatra
                           tambüla-pülaiù karabhaìga-sadyäù
                            karpüra-rambhä-rasa-väsitäsyäù


               sat—nice;  karëa-bhuñäù—earrings;  marica—peppers;  ädi—
               beginning with; gucchäù—with bunches; pulinda-käntäù—aborigine
               girls; pracaranti—walk; yatra—where; tambüla-pülaiù—with betel-
               nuts; karabhäìga-sadyäù—crushed by hand; karpüra—camphor;
               rambhä-rasa—plantain juice; väsita—aromatic; asyaù—whose faces.
