d. Turn the steering wheel slowly to one side until the

meter pressure increases by 0.1MPa. The measured
turning angle of the steering wheel to this side shall be＜ DI
15°; then measure turning angle of the steering wheel to
the other side, it shall also be ＜15°.

e. If the turning angle of the steering wheel exceeds the

limits as above, it implies that the steering wheel may
have problems in free clearance, and needs immediate FR
adjustment.

• Unscrew the locking nuts of the adjusting stub on the ST
lateral end cover of the steering gear.

• Adjust the adjusting stub on the lateral end cover of the

steering gear.
Adjusting method EL

Rotating the adjusting stub inwards will reduce the free
clearance of the steering wheel.
Rotating the adjusting stub outwards will increase the
free clearance of the steering wheel.

f. Tighten the locking nut when adjustment is completed.
